Gretna Green weddings are world famous and the Mill Forge hotel, Gretna Green, offers you the opportunity to have your anvil wedding, accommodation and reception at one beautiful location.

The Forge is a traditional sandstone building with its own gardens within the grounds of The Mill hotel only 2 miles from Gretna Green.

Enjoy the best of both worlds in the privacy of this church-like setting. With its open timber roof and candlelit marriage ceremonies, couples can be married over the anvil with either a civil or religious ceremony.

The Mill hotel is a listed building dated circa 1740, the farm & millhouse have been converted to form a restaurant & chalet style accommodation. The original features have been kept wherever possible while incorporating modern amenities.

We have 33 en-suite chalets comprised of single, double, family rooms and of course Bridal Suites.The restaurant boasts 3 separate reception rooms which are suitable for large or small parties.
