Take a Break Competition Winners Renew Their Vows in Gretna Green

After winning a competition in the UK’s bestselling magazine Sandra & Jeff Coombs from Maidenhead travelled to Gretna Green to renew their wedding vows in The Mill Forge.

Mrs Coombs said "everything has surpassed our expectations, the whole experience was amazing, and we’ve had such a wonderful time. We would like to thank everyone who made our renewal of vows so special." Mr Coombs added that "the meals and accommodation were excellent and that the renewal of vows was very different from their wedding 32 years previously which had taken place in Maidenhead Registry Office."

The couple had flown into Glasgow airport and driven down to The Mill Forge where they enjoyed 2 nights in a luxurious bridal suite. Along with 7 guests they renewed their wedding vows before being whisked away for a drive in a vintage Beauford Tourer; upon their return they enjoyed a champagne reception complete with a wedding cake.

The Mill Forge's general manager Graham Smith said "It was a pleasure to welcome Mr & Mrs Coombs to The Mill Forge. We hope they fully enjoyed the experience of travelling up to have their vows renewed over our anvil.
